Anything they can do to squeeze a few more dollars out.

Your credit rating takes into account not just how you pay your bills, but how many accidents you have, how many tickets you get, and what percentage of your net worth/income you have in loans and other debt.

OK My ins was about 140 - 160$ a month until I moved to Sacramento, CA. and it went up to 2300$ with NO tickets, NO accidents 22yrs Old. about 200 - 250$ a month with a clean record its killing me and I don't make that much as it is. Just can't find myself to part with EVA.

27 years old 04 g coupe and I pay 470 every 6 months with 500 deduc and 30 a day for rental. its breaks down to about 78-82 a month. only problem is a bastard cop stopped me last night for going 9 miles over the speed limit. the only thing that could save me is it was under my Mass license and I'm in the process of getting my Maryland License. Hope it doesnt follow lol. haven't had a ticket in 5-6 years too

Here's some data on rates by state and some other info. A little dated (2005) but you'll get the idea:

I don't think it's fair either, but they use your credit rating to judge how well you will make the payments.

I find it interesting that the two largest "expenses" were commissions and LAWYERS!

I see a lot of you paying just for Comprehensive, why don't you all have Full Coverage?

I pay $126/month Full Coverage(Collision/Comprehensive) for my G and my wife's Camry.

You are correct. Comprehensive is everything on your car thats not considered a collission such as your glass, or if someone keyed your car it would be covered under Comp not Collission. The word he was looking for is liability insurance. That type of insurance only pays for the other persons car and medical if you are in a collission you on the other hand are SOL.

Technically, "Comprehensive" is now known as "Other than Collision". Collision is still listed as a separate line item.
