I was driving, and these kids in an Oldsmobile auora were next to me and they wanted to start stuff, i was bored... had a friend in the car wanted to show him the G anyways, so the Oldsmobile Aoura ( lol ;/ ) took off and i left my car in auto cause i didn't think anything.... well i floor it in auto ( for 2 seconds ) and my car is barely catching up. At this moment im in disbelif... COULD THE AUTO BE THAT SLOW? Okay we get to a light.. he eases up , i throw it in tiptronic VDC off, I'M out a few car lengths, so i shut down. We get to another light, i saw them looking at me through their tints, so i roll my window down, and hes sticking the finger at me with his window up. I was gonna roll my window down and say whats up and i had fun...Well now i'm mad, the Light turns green , and you know what happens next... Well sorry to bore you with a oldsmobile run... but i actually just wanted to know about the Auto situation, could this be possible? is auto compared to manumatic that slow?

 

Those Oldsmobiles have a lot of low end torque. Your racing from a roll and VDC-"on" may have had something to do with it as well. MM mode is quicker but only during and after the shifts.
