Factory Dents

I have a 2003 black coupe, and about an inch right behind both doors there are dents 3 inchs long. It looks like it was from the assembly line, they are under the factory paint. They only show at a certain angle. Does anyone else have these?

Re: Factory Dents

The flanks on the G are flat and smooth. I'm presuming you bought this car used, rather than noticing this now after a year of ownership. The only car that I know of that features designed-in dents is the Hyundai Santa Fe, whose flanks are as bumpy as the roads in New Mexico.

Re: Factory Dents

Actually I bought it brand new. I noticed it along time ago, but I didn't think that the dealer would do anything about it. Doesn't the body and paint have a warranty for factory defects? I only have 15,000 miles. I bought the 100,000 mile warranty. I really don't see how they can correct it without losing the factory paint quality.
