first kill or shot if i can call it that
coming up route 1 in NJ around mid day. i am in left lane, a bmw convertable 323 is in middle lane. his looks well maintained.
neither one of us guns it at light. it is that subtle kind of thing. we both start out normally, but he starts a faster than normal acceleration. again, not flooring it, but not normal, so i give a little gas but still let him keep his 1/2 lead. he then accelerates even more, so i decide to just hit the gas. not WOT but some gas. as he sees me ready to fly by, and realizing he won't win if its a race he eases off. then i do.
as it happens, i had 1194 miles on car so i figured i was ok.

325 is a slug...Usually when Im with one at a light they always move out in front of me when we start...I understand now after drive one the other day that they're always almost flooring it! Im not kidding. It seems the 325 guys have a little bit more to prove than the 330 guys.

before i bought my g, i had a 325it on order. my previous recent cars were civic, saturn, pickup, blazer, so a 325 was a major step up no matter what.
i was going to get the 3 series wagon. was disappointed it didnt' come in the 330.
when they said the car would be an 03 but delivered mid sept, i followed a friends advice and looked at infiniti. the rest is history.

I've taken out 323's, 330ci's and a 4 door 330... I almost bought a drop-top 330ci before I saw the Coupe when it debuted two years ago at the NY Auto Show. I'd probably be one of those BMW guys getting dusted by one of you right now.
