I've driven mine on a 2,500 round trip and a few 1,000 milers, not to mention regular 250 mile runs into the mountains. I love driving this car on long trips. There are just two of us, but plenty of room for two weeks worth of stuff (the rear seat does fold down). BTW, I had a Datsun 280Z and drove all over the country in that car also.

The seats start to feel like a rock after 40mins of driving. Not the softest seats out there.

No complaints here. I've read some people start to feel soreness from where the seat controls press against their right thigh after a while.

It all comes down to how many people and how long you're going for. That also determines how much luggage you're trying to cram in there. Distance doesn't really matter, as the G rides great stock. Longest trip I've ever taken in it is about 3-4hrs each way, and that really wasn't too bad, even with low-pro tires, the whining s/c, free flowing exhaust, stiff coilovers, etc...

imo the G coupe feels good on 200+mi trips. i take it skiing. nothing like a hillclimb and downhill attack to start and end a ski session! the thing i wish we had was a center pass through on the rear seats. that way i can store skis and have more than 2 people in the car. not like many people would volunteer to sit in the back, but my old 4th gen maxima and dad's old WRX took 3+ to the mountains in the snow and still had high speed capability. in my case, i traded fuel economy and utility for damn good looks. which never gets old lol. i guess the logical choice would be the 4-door sedan. but it's not as good looking as the coupe!

Just recently did a 4 hour road trip in the G, started with 2 people, ended up with 4 lol. None of us are shorter than 6'0". Good for those who are in the front, no headroom in the back. Seats were comfortable but would recommend stretching after the drive. Handled like a champ fully loaded

Excellent highway car

bought my coupe 12/18 last month, and on the 21st took it from MI to FLA in 2 days. I find it pretty nice traveling with 1 other person- wife.
back seat is great for stuff we need while on the road, and trunk holds more than the S2000's trunk.

we'll be traveling from MI to CA and up to Seattle over the upcoming summer-- looking forward to the trip in the coupe

As has been said before, 2 people is great, any more and limit your trips down a bunch. Unless they are small chillins or LPs I suppose.

The most I've done so far is 250 miles in 1 day, by myself. No issues. I think what you are compared to--a 350z for you--has a lot to do with it. I think for 2 people it's fine. It's not a minivan or Cadillac, but we knew that when we bought it.

I've only went on 1 roadtrip so far with my G and it was better then the pass road trips I've taken before with my old Accord. I first drove 4 hours home to see and pickup the g/f and then drove another 2hrs to the beach and the g/f even said that riding in the G was way better then my last car. I think this car is a great roadtrip car for 2 ppl only I think.

Road trips, fully loaded car, 2 adults, and trunk full: cruise control set at 77, mpg = 26.6 to 27.4

I'm not complaining!
