How does the hood-latch mechanism work? Do you just remove the hardware from the OEM hood and screw it into the CF one? How's the quality of the CF - any scratches, blemishes, etc?

The hood latch is the same as the OEM hood. The screws are different then the OEM. Finish is nice, no blemishes or scratches. I'll take more pics this weekend

nice. it matches the car pretty well. CF hood is the only reason why i wanted a black G35, and also to get gold rims.
wonder how that'll look on a TB.

 

Are you kidding, "No scratches or blemishes". I also have the C-wings cf hood & trunk and they both are definately not perfect. there are a few scratches, very small chips, a few small black marks from a sharpie marker, and if you look real close there are a few small bumps. maybe I got ripped but I didn't expect it to be perfect,niether should anyone buying any cf products.All the imperfections are hard to notice but they're there.All & all i'm satisfied but if yours was "perfect" I should call the guys back & b!tch about it.

Well I guess I'm the only one to say - ewwww. I guess its okay if you're racing and want to save a few pounds - but I don't care for the look.

Each to his own though - it does fit nicely and doesn't look "tacked-on". Good luck with it.
