Re: Look at this G

sooo...can he not reach his stereo when he is driving? Considering all that money he spent, you would think he could invest in a double din dash..

I do love that color though, without the marble looking effect on it. Thats about it. Not feeling the interior or the door mod. I have seen that mod on a 350Z up close and its pretty cheesy.

Props to the guy for tricking out the G though. You dont see too many wild ones like this..

Re: Look at this G

The only thing that I like is his choice of wheels since they are the same as mine except he had his color matched to the paint job. (Maya DTM's)

Re: Look at this G

Great workmanship, quality is second to none....
a little too over the top for my taste though.....
I think the wheels would have looked much better left chrome...they are so friggin nice as it is...why paint them to look like marble?

A very nice "show car" the doors look dangerous.....
maybe I'm just too old to appreciate the new technologies going into radical rides.... 2old4this

Re: Look at this G

I like the paint job but the interior is definitely over the top, but I guess you have to for a show car.

I may be way off here, but with all the mods, I wonder why he didn't upgrade to Brembos? I know they aren't standard on the AT, but nothing else on that car is standard either. LOL

Re: Look at this G

I don't like anything about that car. The wheels are too dark, the paint job makes it look like cheep wood that you see in a yhatt. The interior red dosen't match.. looks weird. Some car modding companies need serious art directors. The doors are cool

Thanks - Joey Avino

I've seen this car cruising down near my house in Torrance/San Pedro, CA area several times. The color does catch your eyes. But its a little to pimped out for my tastes too.

Re: Look at this G

He shoulda went with the DD stereo setups from Japan to replace his stock radio...but in reality, with a car looking like that, he probably didnt even know it existed. Paint job and rims look nice.

Re: Look at this G

You might have called this topic - "How to go 40 to 0"
Step 1 - start with bowling ball paint..
Step 2 - pimp the interior
Step 3 - wreck the doors
Step 4 - put in a cheap stereo ....

Re: Look at this G

Here's my review:

Exterior Overall: 6/10
-Paint: 8/10 Nice custom paint job. I would not pick those colors myself, but the marble effect, the high gloss, and the fact that the color was matched inside and outside deserves some mention.

-Doors: 3/10 Looks nice, but seems impractical and pretty dangerous considering how big the G35 coupe doors are. Don't even think about putting anything in the car door pockets as they will readily fall out when you open the door.

-Rims: 7/10 Nice rims, but color matching that marble paint on the rims was a bit too much for me. I'm also not too crazy about the wavy spokes, but that's just me.

Interior Overall: 4.7/10
-Seats: 1/10 Is that bright red suede or felt? It looks horrible and why did he use it to cover the glove box area? I think the material looks cheap and more importantly it doesn't match the color matched center console at all.

-Stereo: 4/10 Nice custom install on the HU, but a bit too out there. I could understand if he had installed the HU inside the NAV cubby for a stealth install, but that in your face out there install looks outrageous surrounded by that ugly red suede/felt. I would agree with others that a DD conversion kit would have been more clean and thoughtful in a showcar such as this.

-Console: 9/10 Nice work in color matching the stock el cheapo console with the outside paint. I can't agree on the paint color choice, but matching the outside color on the console would have taken considerable work, time, and $$$. I give props to that.

In conclusion, a nice car to look at with impressive work being done, but highly questionable on the mod choices made on the interior, doors, and stereo mods. Another sore point is that since considerable $$$ was spent on the custom work, I wonder why he couldn't have just bought a 6MT for this? This sorta leaves me scratching my head on the way he spent his money.

Re: Look at this G

Sorry guys I don't like a single thing about that car except the fact that it's a G. To each his own but to me that's just tasteless and Ghetto Fabulous in the same. Ok maybe the scissor doors are cool but the rest, yuck. He should just finish the job with some 20 in. dayton wire wheels and hydrolics. Peace.

Re: Look at this G

The only thing I like about this car is the exterior paint without the marble effect. I wish the G coupe was offered with this shade of red. The rest of the car is too wild for my taste. Those painted wheels look so tacky.
