Trickle Charge

Sadly... I will be away from my G for several weeks and I want to trickle charge it so the battery stays fresh. Does anyone know if I can do this directly throught he cig. lighter or if I need to hook up directly under the hood. In other words - does the cig. lighter remain an active input even while the car is off or not? Thanks in advance.

Re: Trickle Charge

I personally would hook the charger directly to the battery, but I'm sure thru the cig lighter will suffice.
Is it a 1 or 2 amp charger?

No,
When key is out of ignition, lighter is disconnected.

Re: Trickle Charge

Thanks for the info - I'll hook in directly to the battery, that sounds like the way to go.
