Re: Caribbean blue..give me a clue!

It's pretty bright - almost the same as the bright blue they put on newer Corvettes. I liked it, but my wife didn't. My only worry was that in a couple of years' time, someone would look at it and say "That car was built in 2003", kinda like the teal color GM used in 1993/1994. I ended up with a silver coupe and went for the 18s with Michelin Pilots - excellent choice for the Atlanta area.

Actually in my opinion (and I'm getting a CB car) the color is beautiful in person. It totally changes depending on the lighting. Looks great at night and looks AWESOME under the clouds. During the sun, it turns lighter but still is a great color for the G.

Re: Caribbean blue..give me a clue!

I have one! Both I and my wife think it looks awesome! I personally think it looks 100times better in person. As someone already said it goes light to dark depending on day.
It turns heads left and right.
But I do think that without the wing it does not look good at all. On some colors no wing is cool but not on CB (personal opinion).

Re: Caribbean blue..give me a clue!

Actually, based on my completely non-scientific observations, the order of preference for Coupes appears to be:

1. Silver
2. Black
3. Diamond
4. Blue
5. White
6. Desert
7. Red

That order changes quite a bit for Sedans, though. Much more Desert, very few Blue.

Anyway, the blue is a light blue. Not pastel, but not far removed. I wouldn't want it, but I think it looks distinct from the metallic Gs and is a better choice to my eyes than the other primary color, Red. They need to make that Red slightly darker, I think.

G35Coupe_CB,

Where did you get the chrome rims? They look sharp! Was that from the dealer or aftermarket?

I think CB, DG, DP, and LR are all colors you just need to see in person. Photos that I've seen for them all just aren't as striking as they are on the car in person.

Re: Caribbean blue..give me a clue!

When I ordered my coupe, I was torn between CB and Black. I ended up getting the black for several reasons. One was what someone mentioned before about the color being a "fad" color, which worried me. I didn't want to have a car that in 3 or 4 years I was really sick of looking at. I think most 'fast-looking' cars usually look stunning in black. The other problem is that I don't like the mystic quality of the CB. Blue is without a doubt my favorite color, and if they offered the G35 in the same blue that you can get the 350Z in, I would undoubtedly buy that. The CB can look similar to that blue under the correct light conditions. But, outside in the sunlight, the car can look like a very light, aqua blue-green, and it can also look like a very deep purple. I didnt want a car that was several different colors. Just my .02 on the CB

Re: Caribbean blue..give me a clue!

mine was brilliant silver and I thought it was a bad choice at first but its getting sexier each day..its just a matter of preference any color will do..black, silver white and desert platinum are I think the top choice..
