i just visited my local infiniti dealer and got some news (some old and some new) about the upcoming 2005 changes and gt-r scheduled to be released in 2007 or so. of course, this is all rumors and unconfirmed from the salesperson and we all know how unreliable they can be. anyways, according to the salesman, the 2005 coupe will be getting the additional 20hp and interior changes. there was no mention of the front bumper or wheel changes. but, he also mention that the gt-r model would probably be out at the end of 2006 and run at around $60k with 450 hp. it was scheduled for 2007 but will be introduced earlier than expected.

now, i don't know the validity in what he stated, but it sure sounds kick a$$ if it were true. one thing for sure, i'm going to be putting in my order for a 2005 and trading in my 2003 coupe!!!!

 

What are those interior changes? I'm about to buy a 2004 model within the next few weeks and the interior part is one thing I'm slightly unhappy about. If the changes are for the better i might hold out a little more.

 

In order for this to be true. NISSAN would have leaked changes to the 350Z by now. There is no way they will allow a 300HP G35 Coupe to get upgrades and leave the Z at 287HP. NO Way. Unless the Z is bumped up to 320HP I really doubt your guys resources are valid.

 

Rumors. Dealer don't know anymore than we do believe it or not. Its all speculation.

And if you were a dealer/salesman why would you be trying to sell a model thats two years down the road? Your worried about now....not next year. Unless your talking brand new model with a new badge.

I suggest you guy wait for the end of this week, where the 2005 G will be unveiled at NY auto show.

i'm getting my 2004 this week. next week is the auto show.
i'm definitely going...i just hope the interior change isn't too drastic that makes me regret it. hmm i think i'll try to bargain the '04 prices even more since the '05 is supposed to have an interior change : )

 

05 price will increase in relation to the updates (how much is unknown)

I believe the earliest you can take delivery of a 05 model is sept, so you can order 3 months earlier, which would be june.

 

I've seen this topic around a bizzillion times. I wonder how much of it is true. If the G gets new interior, I sure as hell hope the Z will. If it looks half decent, I'll be looking forward to an 05 350Z coupe, instead of G35. 300hp Gcoupe? I'm seeing the 350Z having 310+ HP or no hp gain at all.

I wonder what they'll do to increase the hp to 300? maybe they'll fix the lack of air on the plenum and slightly more aggressive cams and say it's 300. Also, I hope the interior isn't so much better to the point where I'll start changing some parts...that'll get expensive quick. The stronger stereo system would be very sweet...the stock Bose isn't strong enough for me.
