VPP pricing?
Re: VPP pricing?
Go to www.insidenissan.com for the official info.
VPP is per dealer, so even if you qualify, they don't have to do it. If your local dealer doesn't honor VPP, there's a few dealers on www.freshalloy.com that provide VPP and cheap shipping.

Re: VPP pricing?
VPP basically gets you a G35 coupe for about invoice plus $400. Pretty good deal if you qualify.
For freshalloy.com VPP, you have to have a registered account at freshalloy before March 1st to qualify. I'm sure you don't have an account there since you're asking about VPP so you're pretty much out of luck with that idea. Your next best hope is to have a family member that works for Nissan or Infiniti or if you yourself work for a company that is on their affliates list.
If none of these apply to you, then your SOL and you don't need a membership to qualify for that.

Re: VPP pricing?
So with VPP pricing aside.....what would be a great price on a new G35 coupe 6mt with premium, performance, and areo package?

Re: VPP pricing?
I live in Indiana, and qualify for VPP. I called all the dealerships in IN, OH, and KY, and they all said that they wouldnt honor the VPP pricing for the 6MT, but would on the auto. I told the closest dealership to forget it and I would get a GTO, and they were like "the manager is out of town, so we will give you the VPP if you take delivery within 2 days". They actually drove the car to my apartment.
Re: VPP pricing?
I don't know if the list only applies to Grubb's Infiniti, but they have a list at their website. Just search "Grubbs Infiniti" and it should have a search result for their website. Peruse through their site and you should see a PDF list.

Re: VPP pricing?
VPP pricing is determined by Nissan, so Nissan decides who qualifies and what the price is (non-negotiable). So if you're on the affiliate list that Grubbs has, you qualify anywhere that accepts VPP.

Re: VPP pricing?
VPP is Nissans purchasing program for Nissan employees or Nissan affiliates employees. It is not just available to anyone who walks into a dealership.
Crest Infiniti in Plano, TX; will do a VPP on a coupe. One of my friends who works for Courtesy Nissan(Nissan dealerships are considered affiliates) bought his Coupe 6MT 3 weeks ago on a VPP from them. His car listed for $38,200(nav/aero) and his price with VPP was $35,100. Be weary going to Grubbs on a VPP. He looked at an identical car there first and they priced was almost $1000 higher(and I thought VPP pricing was fixed).

Re: VPP pricing?
I'm in the final stages of my order being delivered from Grubbs and as I understand it if a dealer undercuts VPP pricing they will get booted from the program. If the other dealer is $1000 less then that sounds fishy. Perhaps it was quoted with tax/license? Make sure its an apples to apples comparison.
I forget who asked but yes Coupes are on the list for VPP. Its all about finding a dealer that will do it on a coupe. Grubbs will and will ship for free. I had some issues but they are being addressed...I think, to my satisfaction if all shows up as I hope.
In general VPP is very easy and you probably can't beat the pricng (saved me ~$3300 off MSRP for my coupe). Its all gooooood.

Re: VPP pricing?
Do those of you that have bought a VPP vehicle actually work for an affiliate? Or do you just have a family member who does? If it was a family member, what was the process you went through to get the car through them?
Re: VPP pricing?
Grubbs is doing two versions of VPP. The first one is the official program (#1) and the other is their so called "VPP Pricing" (#2).
Program # 2 has NOTHING to do with the official program. It's the same as you going into a dealership and negotiating a price.
Program # 1 is an official program from Nissan. First you qualify for the program. Then when you find the car you want and it's available under VPP, the dealership works up the VPP Claim form.
On this form, you see the dealer cost, the option cost, dealer-installed option cost, the marketing fee, the delivery fee, and destination charge. You and the dealership both have to sign this form (ie. it's an official document that is part of the sale).
Can VPP prices differ from one individual to another?
The answer is YES for two reasons.
1. Employees and immediate family qualify under the A and B plan, which has more of a discount than C and D plan. Most people on this internet form qualify under C and D, which is for Business Associates and friends of a Nissan employee.
2. As I mentioned above, the dealership has the right to charge for dealer installed options. If they do, there's an additional form which itemizes these charges.
