Two quick questions

I just had a clutch replaced at 40k with OEM. (not my fault, nobody ever drives this car again but me) I have had mt before but never had to replace the clutch. I hear that there is a break in period and I wanted to ask if this is the normal. Also my clutch pedal is really soft with very little tension. The mechanic told me this was normal and will correct it self with time.

Also he didn't resurface the flywheel which I personally saw. I didn't look in bad shape but I'm also not a mechanic. I'm thinking in a few months I should just replace it.

Yes there is a break in period of I think it's like 500-600 miles. During this period threat your clutch like would a newborn bady. As far as the pedal being soft, I not sure.

Also you can't resurface the OEM clutch because it is a dual surface clutch.

One quick answer....!

As long as the surface of your "flywheel" wasn't chewed up it should be
alright. No two clutches feel the same, you can have two identical cars
and the clutches will have a slightly different feel....it's crazy but that's
just the way it is....stop thinking about the feel and enjoy your G....

you can still resurface the clutch, you just have to do the center, then step it down on the outside. Ive even done it on a lightweight flywheel with a replaceable wear surface.
