I know this is a little early, but I am a planner and am always thinking ahead.

I know I need to get snow tires for my G and was wondering what brand, size, etc. would people recommend. Also, should I get another set of inexpensive rims to put them on so it is easier to switch them on and off? I read from others elsewhere that Blizzaks are good and 17" rims. Where would I go to purchase these?

Re: Rims/Tires 4 G35
try the tire rack....they seem to be the place for winter tire/rim set ups....
I took delivery of my car in late Oct...the first snow here in New Jersey convinced me that I desperately needed to buy snows...(pilots stink!)
But it was already too late...they were completely sold out..
The 17" rim with a slightly narrower tire is ideal for snow traction winter conditions....so thats the route I plan to take...

Either the blizzaks or dunlops are my choices...several on-line tire sites have ratings as well as consumer feedback of the products...so check them out

Thank you, GR8TG35. I will look and see what I find. I have been reading that the Pilots stink. Good to know.

Many people speak highly of the Blizzaks. I opted for Pirelli snow tires (check out my profile for details). I would recommend getting a dedicated set of wheels to go with your snow tires...rather than swapping out tires each season. I would think that the repeated mounting/dismounting process of your summer tires and winter tires would affect the tire's 'integrity' somehow.
