okay, i just got off the phone w/ the salesperson i've been dealing with and she said that the reason some people get there order number quicker that some others is because some cars are already on the ship and so on that have been either cancelled or just coming here in general. she told me to wait about 3-4 more weeks to receive mines because the car i ordered isn't very usual. she says that they don't get too many fully loaded w/ nav. very often and if they do, then those orders were places way before mines and i ordered early january. i guess that answers my order number.

I think they have order number and VIN backward. YOu get an order number right when they allocate for the car. You get a VIN when it is at port.

Yes andrew, almost all correct heh
Order # when they allocate at the beginning of the month usually. Meaning 12 more weeks till you get it.
Now the VIN# comes in while its being shipped, not sure when exactly, probably while its closer to the docks (thats why my salesman told me)

That's exactly when I ordered and was told to expect my car in about 3 months. I actually placed my order the day before the dealer put in their orders and finalized it on the 5th of February. I was on the fence about NAV, so my salesman wrote up two order sheets. One with NAV and one without, so I could just tell him which one I wanted the next day.

C order sounds right as to what everyone else with February allocation had. Hope it gets here faster than Mid May for ya!

OK, I think something is wrong. I have a Feb production order, but my order number begins with Y. and has a dash between the 4th and 5th digit. Is this normal?
