Dude that's some bad engine knock. What type of MOD's do u have in the bay? Ping SirBoosALot..he's our Techie guy with G35 here in Texas; maybe he can give an insight just by the sound. Doesn't really help with your Night Video unless you don't want to show your Engine Bay.

Have you checked your Oil Consumption lately? How about the Tranny Fluid as well. Wow that sucks. Good Luck.

Shouldn't be a problem, but it still wouldn't hurt to take it off just to be absolutely certain that they won't try to make it a problem.... it's easy enough to swap out.

+1 check the oil before going to the dealership. Engine might lock up on the way.

its hard to check the oil with the dipstick. everytime i put the dipstick in and take it out the oil is everywhere on the dipstick and cant get a good reading. are you suppose to put the dipstick all the way in until it locks in and then take it back out or just put it all the way in but not locked in and then pull it back out?

it helps if you guide the dipstick out..use 1 hand to pull..and another by the dipstick hole(as close as you can get) and guide it out so it doesnt move too much..this should give you a more accurate read..

it helps to put the dipstick all the way in to get and accurate measure.

it needs oil.

let the car sit for awhile on a flat surface. then guide the dipstick out slowly.

its usually more acurate if you flip the dipstick (back of dipstick facing you) when its completely out.

thats what i do
