Hey guys help me diagnose this :)

Hey guys,

I traded my 04 coupe for an 06 fully loaded, black on black,

So far i did the suspension and pop charger/plenum

Anyway, i have 2 issues with the car:

1. When i press on the brake, it doesn't just feel as aggressive as the loaner G's ive driven. Like i have to depress the brake all the way to the floor to get good braking power, and even then sometimes it just glides..

BTW i have new pads/rotors that are only 2 months old..

2. My navigation doesnt display any notifications. My 04 G35 would tell you when your fuel is low, problem with ABS,etc, This one doesnt show anything like that.. is this normal..

Thanks a lot

I have new pads and rotors.. what could be wrong?

I mean notification for low fuel, bad abs, etc, nothing shows up.. ive looked thru option

ONE MORE THING:

the past few times i put the car in reverse, i brake and theres pulsating in brake and weird noise and the car wont stop for few seconds.. this might be ABS but why would abs kick on in a dry day reversing at 5mph..

change/check the fluid whenever you do new pads and bleed the brakes starting with the passenger side rear brake first(farthest away from master cylinder)

For the brakes...you went from Brembo to non-brembo. You're bound to see a difference.

+1 on Brembo to non-Brembo being a difference... As far as the ABS engaging in reverse, I've read before that other people have this happen occasionally, and it is supposedly the ABS "self-check" - nothing to worry about.

yeah the way to check the abs is pump up the brakes with the car off then start the car with your foot still holding the brake the pedal should sink a little bit if the abs is working which is what they tell you in school, or you could do a burn out with traction control on my favorite way

your master cylinder might be going bad. It controls the oil pressure

Brake Issues....?

You shouldn't be having those kinda issues with your brakes. If you still have
a warranty take it in and let them diagnose the problem. Installing pads
shouldn't have anything to do with air in your lines but a funky master cylinder
could be the problem....pedal feel and not stopping.

You probably already know but in the NAV menu there is an option for something like "short menu". if you disable that you get a whole lot more options, but since you had a G before you probably already know this,.... but I think the NAV changed a bit from 03/05-06/07 so maybe this helps
