Freaky Power Windows

Hey Guys, has anyone ever had their power windows go a bit whacky on em? Sometimes when I have my windows all the way down, and I use the auto up, it goes to the top but once it gets to the top, it comes back down part way as if something was stuck there.

I checked the window to see if there were any obstructions but nothing there that I can see.

Anyhow just thought I would ask and see if anyone has had this before.

SG

There's been numerous complaints of this problem. They've taken it back to the dealership under warranty.

When mine started doing that, it was because the window motors were going bad. It was well out if warranty, so I bought the motors and installed them myself. It still cost my almost $400 to replace both though

I just had this same thing happen to me last week. If you're still under warranty a dealership will fix it at no cost. Either way, I'd recommend having it fixed before your windows get stuck down at a less-than-opportune time.

OMG I just called the dealer and they said something about components like this are only covered up to 20,000km and I might have to pay for it.

The service guy is really cool and he said worst some to worst, he will eat the cost for me since its the motor memory that is causing the issue. Apparently it happens from time to time.

Does this make sense???????????

^Just install the motor yourself. It's not too hard.

this happens to me now too. (out of warranty of course). But just a few days ago, it sometimes goes down 1/4 when i close the door (cause of that little auto roll-up our cars do). Looks like I'm going to have to look into buying that motor and installing myself as well. Of course I havn't searched yet, but DIY? heh..good luck with that. its annoying.
