Dealing with the dealer

ok, so i really want an 06 coupe but don't want to seem overanxious at the dealership. when the sticker price is 29.000, should i neg. outside while looking at the car or inside when he wants to "crunch the numbers". my biggest problem is i don't want to look uninterested or a lowballer. any advice is greatly valued. thanks guys

Read throug threads on here, do a search on www.autotrader.com, go to the bank and apply for a loan then. Figure out what you want and if you can afford it. By then, you will be able to negotiate on solid ground. Stealerships will try and force you to buy extended warranties on everything down to the wheels and tires. Bought my IP 6 mt. with extremely low mileage. Do you want NAV, or not? Do you car about the exact color of the car? Roughly 2% of G's are 6mt.'s, that's between saedans and coupes. Can you deal with owning an automatic? If so, those are dirt cheap. PM me if this helps at all and you have any more questions.

make sure you check multiple dealerships. Some will go lower than others. Also let him know that you're not set on a G35 so that he has to convince you. Just be like "well for that much money, why don't I just go get a bmw 3-series?" or something along those lines

accually uninterested/lowballer is a good way to go, my g was listed at 27k and by telling them I've been shopping around and comparing prices along with looking at several other g's in the area I was able to get them down to 25k and through in an extended warranty for free.
