Good deals on a 05 or 06 6MT Coupe? Which should I choose?

Well people I have come to a very difficult choice! I have to make a decision on which G35 to buy and they are both decent deals (I think anyways!). Shoot me your opinion if you have a few!

Car 1 - Clean CAR FAX
2006 6MT Coupe
7500mi
Spoiler
Red with tan interior.
No key fob's
Some small scratches on rear bumper (touched up with badly with auto zone type touch up paint) and one small 3" scratch on the hood.
Oddly enough the interior was kindove dirty too (nothing terrible just has grimy prints in places on the hood liner), with some black crust (possibly burned?) on the factory drivers side mats.

Car 2 - CLEAN CAR FAX
2005 6MT Coupe
20K
Spoiler
Nav (No DVD in at time of test drive, but dealer may have)
Black with charcoal interior
Key FOB included.
Factory rims have been chromed (badly) as they are starting to flake on the inside.
Interior was in good shape.

the first one seems like a steal, its the 2006, and very low mileage. just be careful of oil consumption, make sure the warranty is in tact. i would never go for the second, those wheels will look like crap soon probably. on car 1. the fobs can probably be ordered or programmed from the dealer, probably for less than 400 bux im assuming. you can clean the interior, new mats arent that expensive. i would go for the first one, but its your choice.

ps i am in the market for a new g35 too im trying to get an 05+ (love those wheels)

#1 seems like the best option BUTT, why don't you calculate the cost of repairing all the small defects, and see if there's a car out there without them. Even if it's used I'd rather pay a bit xtra cash upfront but, not have to fix anything.

I would still wait and look around for something better that doesn't need any kind of work, eventhough it might cost a little more.

if it is at a dealer, have it detailed proffesionally, what ever damage is left, will be what you need to calculate repairing.

Unfortunately, a professional detailing job will only temporarily hide the damage to the paint. Once the wax and detailing substances wear off, you'll be left with a crappy scratched up looking surface again.

As a buyer, you have every right to bargain/negotiate with the dealer/seller to fix certain things to your liking while settling on a price. I'd try to get them to include a keyfob and fix any blatantly obvious body damage. Any dealership should detail the car for you regardless of whether you ask them to or not prior to taking delivery of the vehicle.

you can probably barter the price down and get the scratches fixed, if it is at a dealer, they are always willing to make a deal
