Polyurethane or Fiberglass?!?!!
Polyurethane or Fiberglass?!?!!
ok a member on this board seems to think that a front bumper made of fiberglass is better than that of one made from polyurethane. i tried explaining to him about cracking issues and what not (other problems often associated with fiberglass). but he keeps telling me that i'm crazy and that im wrong. please let this guy know that he's wrong. would u really like a fiberglass nismo kit.....instead of a polyurethane one????

I would not want a bumper made of fiberglass.
But do you really need to call the guy out in a separate thread?

Re: Polyurethane or Fiberglass?!?!!
Both have pro's and cons. I used to have a urethane body kit on my old car. After much abuse from being slammed 3 inches, the front lip cracked. Not very easy to repair urethane, but fiberglass is easy. After the urethane kit, I got a fiberglass front bumper. It sure did scrape a lot, but it was strong and it never cracked.
Fiberglass just gets a bad name from all the replicas of replicas of replicas that got made during the Honda body kit craze. They kept copying the copies, so fitment wasn't all that great.
I would take either or.
