Re: GTO vs. G35 Coupe

The look of the GTO is very disappointing. But so was the look of the current Infiniti M45. Both cars specs look great on paper though.
The G looks great in person!!!!!!!!

As for American car reliability, my 1970 Mustang Mach I is 34 years old and has never been rebuilt; and will still out run all of the aformentioned cars!

I've ran a 5.7... nothing to be impressed over. I beat the kid. But I know better than to mess with a 6.0... Unless I'm turboed

My buddy has a GTO....no offense, but those things are garbage. Build quality, interior, etc are all very much on the cheap side. If you've ever been in one or had one apart, it becomes aparent that the money is in the engine. Personally, I think the exterior styling is hideous....absolutley nothing special about it, you'd think with the monster hiding under the hood, they'd make it atleast a little more sporty, aggressive, sleak, or something like that. Their resale value has already dropped tremendously....I can imagine it will continue to go down....so if you can get past the crap interior and ho-hum exterior, it's still a quick car and has tremendous potential. I'd NEVER choose it over my G though, and I by no means think my G is the end-all car.

To me, the GTO is just a Pontiac Grand-Am with a V8 in it. The build quality in those things sucks, at least the earlier model-year ones. The drivetrain has a ton of potential though, particularly the newer ones.

I brought it back from the dead bc my freind just purchased a 2004 Red automaticGTO with 22,000 miles on it 5.7 liter. He just kept texting my phone saying he was going to dust me! We don't street race but he was trying to let me know in his own way his car was a lot faster than mine. I just bought my 07 auto G35 coupe premium package has 59,000 miles as of today. Just made me rather jealous I geuss thats all :-(
