What looks best for black wheels is when you paint them a slight metallic black and clearcoat them. It looks really good. By the way randy, I just got my injen exhaust and its fuccking loud. You should check it out.

Thanks for the input MALX. I think I may be leaning toward A/M wheels or leaving them stock. I haven't been overly impressed with examples. The sedan that was posted looks good on that sedan cuz it's blk on blk, but I have DG and I don't think it'll look right.

Ximer, I don't like things you say. I never said I didn't like YOU. Anyways, it's not my car. The photochop was mine. I found that pic somewhere on this forum. The guy lives in Central Cali and had it done there. Let me kow how it works out. I decided to go with iForged Aeros (black centers) as soon as I sell my quad.

The name and phone number of the shop that did it is in the thread. BTW, I had the process done about a year ago and they're holding up perfectly. They look as good today as they did when it was done.

 

To be quite honest i only think that rims should be painted black when the rim has a polished lip. Otherwise the wheels look like steelies and you cannot see the features/size of the wheel.

That's my car. The grill is the stock black chrome. The lighting in the picture makes it look darker than it is.

 

The only thing I've seen with black rims that looked good recently was a black Modena. Other than that, its just another colored wheel fashion. In 2 years the fashion will die, but your rims will still be black. Silver and chrome never goes out of style!
