Thinking of buying this coupe

I think i may buy this coupe and have it shipped, the only thing that bothers me is the mileage, but ive been told to go for it because these cars run forever.

You're out of powertrain warranty already at that mileage. I'd be hesitant to buy a car long distance. I personally would never buy one I hadn't seen first.

Where are you located? That price is OK, but with some patience you might be able to find one with less mileage around the same price.

Definitely hold out for the 6MT. All '03-'04 6MT come with Brembos. As for Navi, don't have it make or break - you can always get a Garmin.

Good luck!

Yeah, ive been so tempted to just go automatic, but i dont think i will. Ive driven the two automatic G35s and a manual 350z. just wish i could find one around here 6MT with atleast aero package and the right color. Navi isnt a big deal, i can throw an in dash in there, but thats just going to be more money out of my pocket later on

Nice IP with Brembo's, 6MT and Navi. If it was a graphite interior you could have checked all the boxes. Have the car put on a lift and checked out mechanically. See if there is any negotiating on the price though $17,900 isn't a bad starting point; maybe knock off $500-800 for the mileage. Pretty nice car!

I got him to 17,500 shipped to me. I cant really inspect the car, i think its about 500 miles away or so. 71,000 miles worries me, i have only 96000 on my 1997 grand prix GTP, but damn i cant find anything, and G35 is screaming my name right now.

the powertrain should be your primary concern. Check into an aftermarket powertrain warranty but I don't know that I'd buy a car sight unseen. Does it come with any kind of warranty? 30 day, 3 day return if you're not satisfied? State law may give you some protection on a used car sale. The struts will most likely need replaced if they're original but you can always pick up a set of D-Specs, Tein Basics or other coilover set up. Brakes rotors and pads may also need replaced if they haven't been done recently.

Page 9 of the "autobiography" shows a service plan at 58,000 miles. You should ask what that is, perhaps it's an extended warranty.

I dont anticipate i will fly out, that could be spendy. I dont think i will drive that far, could possibly pay a mechanic to look it over, could probably do ebay. could be patient and search for one closer with less miles, but oh the agony, g37 i can not afford to take that depreciation hit right away. Huyundai im not a fan of, blowing up my current car and never driving again would be an option. lol.... jgainnm i will have to check that out.

too risky but its up to you

thats a very high mileage, not only its out of state.. you just dont know what that car has been through. The owner might have beaten the crap out of it.

I recently bought an 04 as well about 3 weeks ago, only 26,000 miles on it, i got to inspect everything from body to engine and had them give me a carfax report, everything was smooth, car has been taken care off like a baby.

i suggest buying one locally where you can see what you're purchasing in person.

goodluck
