high pitch sound on start up

The past couple of days my car will make a noise when starting it up... it will only sometimes do it, not every time i start it. Its a very high pitch noise that sounds like squealing of tires. It only last for about 15 seconds. What the hell is this noise? I checked the belts and made sure they were tight...

Is it you making the squealing noise? maybe you should take the gay test, and see exactly how likely it is you will make squealy, girly noises.

What year is your ride? Have you tried spraying the belts with Belt Lubricant? Depends on how old your belts are now. It could be drying out. Just a guess.

Happened to me, just spray WD-40 in the belts-pulley bearings. I think it's one of the accs. pulley bearing that loose lubrication after heavy rain. Try to spray the WD-40 when the engine is running, and target the bearings. If it kills the sound, then use a longer lasting, water-proof lubrication similar to WD-40. WD-40 will only last a couple of rains.

Actually, spray freely to the belt area with WD-40. That's what I did at first.

almost sounds like a really bad vacuum leak but then it stops...no way it would be that bad though i'd imagine
