Tire radius and milage

For all of you who have changed your tire size, shouldn't your numerical values for distance travelled be inaccurate? because cars calculate milage by counting how many cycles the tire turns, and to have a bigger tire means you would have actually travelled futher than the panel displays.

Re: Tire radius and milage

It is inaccurate, but it's so minute, that it doesn't really matter. There are a bunch of different places on the internet that have charts, calculators, etc that you can search for that allow you to figure out exactly what your speedometer and odometer are off. I found a real good one last year, but can't seem to find it through searches anymore...

This is the first hit on Google for "tire size calculator" and it works quite well.
