New Pro-1 Intake Installed

Hey guys, I just got through installing my new Pro-1 Intake that I purchased from Moog (off my350z.com) - not for sure where else you could get one at, but it is definitely a steal - for the price of basically just a popcharger, you get a polished intake tube and a blue filter element (that looks like the ones that come w/ most TT setups) - I had just a z-tube before, and the sound was pretty good, but now with the Pro-1 the sound is awesome! Definitely the best bang for the buck mod I probably will ever do (besides clear corners - look sweet on my BS coupe)....

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this intake over all the other pricey alternatives (I effectually paid $90 for mine... traded my z-tube ($55) + $35 for it, plus shipping)... I am very happy, to say the least...

Here's a pic of the guy's car that I bought it off of (he has the exact same setup - he bought this one for a friend who backed out of the deal)...

yeah I have the same intake. It is a great sounding intake with great hp gains from the high air flow. I also recommend the Pro-1 exhaust system. It is one beefy exhaust

where did you purchase your exhaust from? I've been unable to locate any Pro-1 dealers... is your exhaust the one for the 350Z w/ modifications or do they make one specifically for the G35 coupe?

damn, i hope you didnt over 50 bucks for that intake. if you did, then you got ripped off.

39.99 on ebay for the exact same intake.

I paid $35 + traded my z-tube - if you look though, shipping is $15! - I'm very happy with it regardless and I would have paid $100 for a new one.... definitely sounds better than the z-tube!

Re: New Pro-1 Intake Installed

it's much deeper/throatier and at lower RPM's than the z-tube - I used to have to get it up over 4500 rpm's to hear the z-tube's effect (which is a very nice sound), but the Pro-1 starts kicking in around 3300-3400 rpm's and builds up to an awesome roar... I'm looking to pair it with some Helix test pipes and a Pro-1 Exhaust this summer, then it will definitely be roaring! (even though the revised Pro-1 exhaust is 25% quieter than the old one - but still probably around the sound level of an Injen)
