I heard LACR is a tough track too but I have no reference. Friday and Wednesday were my first two times ever running any car on a track.

DSSkyline, go to www.lacr.net and yahoo map it. It's probably 2 hrs from SD...it's in Palmdale. I plan on going on May 5th next, which falls on a Wednesday.

Was it your first time at the track? If so other then getting all mad why dont you ask how to get your times better so next time you can beat that Audi..

<hr></blockquote>

One, it was my second time at the track and the first time I showed up 1 hour before they closed and ran twice, terribly. Two, when you say someones time is "soooooo bad", that is flaming. It's not only discouraging, but it's incorrect. Car and Driver and MotorTrend has our cars 1/4 at 14.5 stock. I'm running the car BY DESIGN. Three, I did beat the Audi (Danny, I'm not flaming, but you know that) in a race, which by deifintion means to race a person from one point to another faster, but if you read my initial post correctly, you would have read that. Four, who are you to give advice? Show me your elevated credential that tell me I should listen to your advice. If I had "350z Pipe / Stillen High-Flow-JUN Flywheel\Crawford Intake Manifold V5 Black-High - Flow cats\
Nismo Clutch", I guarantee I'd run a 14.1 too..BTW, update on my best time, the Audi driver has me running a 14.3 on video against my fellow G sedan. I thought I ran that but couldn't find the slip, so I posted what I had. I'd be interested to know what your reaction times are...my best out of 15 runs were .504 and .590 and I generally stayed in the .700 area.

i think u'll be surprised he ran a 14.8 there for his 1st time

<hr></blockquote>

Audi (Danny) will confirm that this statement is before calculating sea level which time times .97...which equals 14.3...and I did confirm that this was my second time there...Danny may have not known that or it slipped his mind.

InidsG35, I consider this squashed but don't be so quick to judge. You did that to the other guy and he was posting number from LACR too. Good luck on your next run and keep us updated. I'd be interested to know your times since your mods are close to what I was looking in to once I sell my darn quad and get some extra cash. Peace.

Re: So, I raced AUDI_2_7t yesterday!

Thanks fer the kind werds iLL. As for danny's audi, it is bone stock. To put it in simple words, it's the same engine as the s4. 2.7 liter Bi-turbo. 250 hp. He is running a 6 speed so that helps alot also.

Re: So, I raced AUDI_2_7t yesterday!

yup all stock. took out my spare. 91 oct.
im trying to get a hold of a friend who works with GIAC ecu's. hopefully i'll be chipped by the next time i go. it'll add 57 hps and 108 torque 91 oct. so dyno at crank would be 307 and 366 torque.
2.7's are rated at 250hps and 258 torque but its believed to be underrated.
chip should shave about .7 - .9 off my time. hoping for 13.5's at palmdale~

Re: So, I raced AUDI_2_7t yesterday!

Yeah, Danny's car is surprisingly fast. But what can u say, turbo engines are a completely different beast compared to N/A engines. I have no doubt that those 250hp numbers are underrated by Audi. I bet after the break-in period for the A6 2.7T and the S4's, they gain some power. I'll make sure that I come out to the next meet at LACR. Wanted to come but I already went the week before and don't want to go too often. Seems like you guys had fun and watching the video that marco had made me wish I was there instead of at my korean class. Oh well, at least I was sitting next to the japanese girl at the restaurant. =)

Re: So, I raced AUDI_2_7t yesterday!

Not sure the edit button works so I just posted another one. I think the main reason why Audi underrated the 2.7T engines were because of their 4.2 engines that they used in their higher models. It might not be justified to some people to pay more money for an engine that has a smaller increase of hp compared to the lower engine. Oh btw, the plenum makes a big difference in performance and especially in drag times. I shift around at 6300rpms instead of to the redline because of the power loss due to the stock plenum. Now with a crawford or kinetix plenum, there would be more power, plus, a very small power dropoff after the peak which would allow at least 300more rpms to go. Which is the reason why that is going to be my next mod. =). TS ecu flash would probably be next so I can take advantage of the raised rev limiter. 7krpms baby!
