why is that a rice boy?... it applies to domestic muscle cars as well genious ... If you drag race you realize .1 sec in a quarter mile is substantial!

I took my tires off, those things are heavy, riding on rims right now. I'm also thinking about getting rid of the driver's seat, pretty positive that's the heaviest seat since it has all the motors in it, will replace it with a kitchen stool.

Great plan. Make sure you use an aluminum stool with a sticker on it - those are the best.

I'd also remove all the paint and primer, run one quart low on oil, drain the wiper fluid, take the valve stem caps off, remove the gas flap, remove two lug nuts per wheel, remove all the glass, and wear goggles when I drive.

Remove your doors and the pass seat/driver seat... thos are heavy

not worth it.....better of getting a z in that situation....you never know when you might need the spare seats.....

many of them go to great lengths to lighten their cars... they would blast the posters in here poo-pooing ways to lose car weight... they would also smoke 'em on the track.

I took my doors off now that it is summer time in New England. Car is so fast without them!

if you removed the power window motors and made the door CF you actually would notice a difference...

Power to weight ratio is a factor.

Take the engine out, strap 4 plastic wheels on it, and put a gas pedal on top. 2000 lb loss!!!
