Stereo MP3?
Re: Stereo MP3?
Neither the stock or Bose (Premium Pkg) CD player will play MP3 CD's. It will play my CD-R's just fine, but search the forums. There's a lot of people who had problems (at least with the '03 model) of the CD player jamming when using CD-R's. Definitely do not put a label on the CD-R or you could be in for a nasty problem if it were to peel off.
I use an MP3 player and cassette adaptor and it works pretty well. The A/V forum definitely would be your best bet to find something a little more professional.

jlkeeton... right on!
tackls... if you want to know more about the CD player, you can also send a PM to the handle, "<font color=green>ryoken</font color=green>." he's pretty knowledgable about the player as he's had his bose system replaced 2 or 3 times under warranty. oh, and i play label-less CD-Rs in mine with no problems.

Re: Stereo MP3?
Won't play Mp3 discs. I've tried.
It accepts the disc, assigns it a number, but doesn't find anything to play. I've made several 80-min audio cd discs and have had no problems playing them. If for some reason it won't play your cdr audio disc, try burning them at a lower speed (8X or lower), using a different brand, or using a disc with a different color on the bottom.

There's always the expensive alternative ... Phatbox
It works seemlessly with the stock head-unit as well as all the steering wheel controls and hooks right into the SAT pre-wire in the trunk! Virtually plug n play.
