15k maintenance questions

Hi everyone,
I own a 07 g35 coupe and I passed my hit 16k a few days ago, and a little late on my 15k maintenance. My friend's friend works at the dealership and he said he can do it for me for around $120 for the 15k maintenance, which is like 50% off of what the dealer charges.. (but he's going to do it at his house). Is it possible to do the services for the 15k maintenance at home?

He also asked if I wanted "induction service" done, and said that dealer recommends you do it every year.. it cleans out the inside of your engine from all the carbon and helps w/ performance and gas mileage.. and that dealer charges $180, but he can do both the maintenance and the induction for $200 total..

Should I trust him or should I take it to the dealer? Give me some feedback Also, what happens when I take my car to his house for service? Like, how would I have any proof that I did do the service? In case they ask for it when you resell your car? Sorry, total newbie.. please educate!

If you are worried about resale value, dealer service is the way to go.

Since your car is still under warranty i would go to the dealer and have it done by them.

Dealership....Infiniti or Nissan!

I'd go to the dealership for service and don't forget you can go to Infiniti or
Nissan....prices may vary The service writer will have a list of
items that are covered on the 15K mile service, if you don't need an oil change, tire rotation/balance or antenna service don't pay for it. Fluid level
check and filter change are the only two I opted for. (cabin filter)
