LEV or LEV2

LEV or LEV2
I know the LEV2 is standard after Oct 03, this is the low emissions vehicle tier 2. Does the power of LEV2 is less than LEV because of stricter emissions standards. I am thinking of buying a 6 speed in a month or so so I would like to Know because I found a LEV at a good price.

I have an 04 and I had the same concern before I bought re: any power loss with LEV2?
The answers I got from the dealer and service techs was "no"... and I can't remember where, but I asked on a G35 forum somewhere and the consensus was "no difference in performance". There's a technical answer as to why --which I can't remember, but it made sense to me at the time.
