I just programmed a new remote for my 04 coupe. I followed all the directions form the stickys. Now for some reason, when press the trunk release button on the remote it causes the alarm to go off, It’s acting like a panic button. Has anyone ran in to this problem? Do I have a broken remote? All the other buttons (Lock, Unlock, Panic) work fine expect for the trunk release button.

Any ideas or suggestions would be help full as is a pain to open the driver side every time I wan tot open the trunk.

Even though I'm pretty sure I followed all the programing steps, is is possible for the lock, unlock, and panic buttons work but some how i incorrectly programed the remote causing the trunk button to act like a panic button?

 

Are you sure you don't have a trunk monkey in your car that's setting off the theft deterrent system?
