worst day ever. hit a chair, then was just involved in a hit and run last night..

got a tint in the morning, and as i was leaving i backed up and didnt see a chair behind my car and hit it (metal chair), and it scratched up my rear bumper.

then at night i was close to the 110/10 interchange (socal) and a car swerved into my lane and hit the area above my left front wheel, its pretty damaged and dented... at first i thought it was a dark colored nissan, but when i got into the light, it was ornage rub off paint.. i called 911 as soon as i found a shoulder and pulled over, but i was on the 10 at this point and the other car took off in the 110. i called 911 and the dispatcher said they'll put a notice out for the car, but that if i wanted to file a report for insurance i needed to go to the chp office monday mornign to file a report. called n left voicemail w/ insurance today, will cal lagain when theyre open tomorrow.

i guess ill get this fixed through insurance.. it'd be nice if i can get my rear bumper repainted/fixed too from the scratches earlier that day at the same time and covered under insurance

how much do u guys think it'd cost for the damage, and how long? gonna get some estimates this week, might go to a friends friends shop since he might be able to repaint the rear bumper to cover up the scratches too

my left front wheel is scratched up too from when the guy hit me... can whell repair places fix this or am i out of luck and cant do anything about it? would insurance even replace an entire wheel?

oh man, i know its YOUR car and YOUR baby but it really doesnt look that bad

I know if it was mine, I'd be sh!tting eggrolls.

I got a hit and run once too, with my black 6MT, before I got my IP. ******* took off and he was drunk as hell too. He honestly didn't even know he had hit me, he was that drunk.

Seriously, best of luck with the repairs. I'd try for a new fender as well if insurance will go for it.

sorry to hear about your accident man. did the guy hit your rim at all? the fender dent looks deep. what part of his vehicle hit yours? the damage looks more than your $500 deductible, so i would suggest taking it to a good shop that hook it up with some aftermarket cheaper than oem parts.

yeah, the guy hit my rim too, its scratched up

it was the corner of his car (right front corner) that hit me. good thing is i guess my deductible is only 250, hopefully i wont see any signs of repairs after its done

Are you sure you want to keep that tint on there?

In a matter of hours after getting the tint, you've already had to incidents involving visibility. 1.. not seeing the chair, and 2... not being able to tell the proper color of the car that hit you(Don't misinterpret this as me saying the accident was your fault... i'm merely saying you appear to have misdiagnosed the actual color of the car that hit you judging by the paint residue left on the damaged panel).

Just a thought. But that's the exact reason why I've opted to not get tint on my G. The visibility in this car is bad enough as is. I can't even imagine trying to back up with it any worse as a result of window tint.

Looks like you may be able to polish out the bumper where the chair hit.

How much? How much is your deductible? There's your answer.

Glad you're okay. The car can be fixed.

my deductible is only 250, so thats not bad..

what are the chances i'll be able to get a new bumper (oem)? the bumper doesnt look that bad, only the front left corner of it is scratched up, but there is now a gap between the bumper and the headlights though.. i'd prefer to get a new oem bumper rather than just repainting this one.
