G35 Coupe 2004 vs 2005 / US vs GCC
Hi,
I just recently relocated to the United Arab Emirates, and thinking about buying a G35 coupe.
G35s here go slow, as people tend to stick to them for a long time, and I managed to locate only two cars on the market so far. One of them is a local purchase, so called GCC (Gulf Countries) spec'd from 2005. GCC cars are said to have larger radiators and stronger AC for the desert heat.
The other one is a 2004 US import model.
I am wondering about the differences between first of all the 2004 and 2005 models in general, and second of all between a US and GCC spec'd models.
I know the interior should be much nicer on the 2005 model, but how bad is the 2004 really? I so far have only seen the 2005, and I liked it. If the 2004 is much worse, I might as well take the plunge and buy the 2005 local version.
The problem I am having is that the Local version from 2005 is about 30% higher priced as the 2004 US import.
Any help would be appreciated. I just got my drivers license finally, and now I really need to get a car to be able to live and get by
Thanks for any pointers,
Ben

However, this is not confirmed by any source that I would feel comfortable with, these are all speculations from various people I talk to.
I am looking for some solid evidence that the US and GCC are in fact different, or just the same.
Thanks,
