^o is he? I did not know that. I can't view those pics from my workplace so i did not even know he was turbo. If he is, then staying at 3.3 is not bad.

I had already sank about 22k into the car before I realized the auto wasn't going to handle the power I wanted. Yes, I should have gotten a 6speed, but I was 16 when I got the car.

Live and learn.

you only have a single turbo setup on your car right? Your trans can handle that. You should have researched and just upgraded the VB and added a tranny cooler.

I did research, and I only swapped out my tranny after my auto started failing.

I'm going for 700whp. But thanks for the life lesson in doing my research first.

P.S. Automatics are lame

Sorry man, autos are lame in our car. Heavy, and you lose a minimum of 20whp with just the tranny alone. I think I have quite a bit of reason to dislike our automatic, more than most. It's not like i'm ******* on the car, I love the G. The tranny just let me down is all.

But yes, we all have G's, we all love the car. I just wanted performance, and I just couldn't get it with the 5AT

Very hefty price but as long as you're happy with it in the end is all that matters. Sometimes cars carry a sentimental value where owners would rather dish out the money for the tranny swap rather than sell to buy a 6MT. Regardless of the reason, congrats on the finished project.

In retrospect I wished I had gotten a MT. But MT are hard to find with the right package. My car is fully loaded, where will I find a fully loaded G with a MT, and the right color. Very hard.

I thought this was going to be more money than 10g.

Glad its 10g and less. If I keep my car, a transmission swap is def in my future along with TT setup.
