i noticed today when i started up my car for work, i hear this weird hissing noise coming from my rear back passenger section of the car, i know its not my tires, this noise is a lil different, seems like its coming from deep inside the wheel well, does anyone have any idea what it might be? its just that rear right passenger side that makes that noise...

 

I had the same thing....but it wasn't a hissing noise...it was more of a metal clicking or twisting noise...took it in and it turned out to be something with the splines...they replaced it under warranty. Just take it in to the dealer...make sure you can replicate the sound for them though before you take it in.

Euro, it's a back axle issue...they need to torque down some things back there. My car was just at the dealership for that issue...fixed.

Sounds like a rear main bearing seal. You'll have some fluid leakage eventually if you just ignore it, then your bearing will shred apart......and well yeah use your imagination from there. Bring it in ASAP.

Was it a clunk noise? I am getting a clunck in the right rear over some bumps. I have aftermarket coilovers and camber/radius rods but nothing seems to be loose. Maybe it's not realted and it's what you guys are experiencing. Something on the axel you said? Is it a bulletin or common issue? Any help would be great.

I have the same problem, i brought it in and the guy says there is nothing wrong and that sound is normal? but then again its the same dealership that scratched my car and got paint specs all over it and said it was my fault. Where could i take my car and what do i tell them ?

How long did it take for the dealer to fix this problem? I am going to take mine in next week and wonder if i will need a loaner car.
