question

I have an 04 coupe and had a question on a situation that occured last night. Was at a friends house w/ my wife and we were leaving to go home. started the car and noticed about a block down the road that the BRAKE, VDC Off, & SLIP warning lights were on. Stopped and shut the car off for a minute and turned it back on. Still stayed on. Drove about 2-3 more blocks and the BRAKE light turned off but the other two were still on. This morning going to church had the same situation. That was about 2hrs ago. Now they are off. Is there anything I should be concerned about or is it just a notice for my brakes to be replaced. I know my brakes need to be replaced, thus me making that assumption. Has anyone else experienced this or know what it may be?

Thanks

Your brake fluid is probably low.

its definitely time to change your brakes, this happened to me not too long before my brakes were down to the metal, change them asap

Don't jump to a conclusions... it's more likely just his brake fluid. My rear pads were metal to metal and my lights never came on. This issue is commonly associated with low brake fluid, not pads needing replacement

However, it's not a bad idea to get the level of your pads checked.

Brake light coming on is a sign of low brake fluid. Fill it up and you should be fine. The other 2 I think indicate limp mode which was probably turned on due to lack of brake fluid.
