I make a motion that since Mav's thread is done (I hope), let's start a new one on FIND: DucatiGuy.

Any seconds on this motion? I mean, c'mon, we've seen the best and worst of humanity all in this one thread: generosity of G35 members, giving a grill away for free, giving money, giving advice, giving good suggestions on 'FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY" [ignored]. Maybe a father who lied about his son. Maybe a girl friend who either is not a friend, or isn't even for real, but certainl lied, not once but at least twice [about sending the grill].

So, the next thing to do is FIND: DucatiGuy. We've got a vibrant, active, smart G35 community here. Let's do it!!! If only to answer our own questions like why the hell did this guy do it?

Somebody's got live in the DucatiGuy's father's town, or very nearby---ANYBODY??? C'mon, let's do a little searching and sleuthing.

oh my god..its just one grill right? its not like its a huge conspiricy or anything....i think he just jacked it but not enough information to call the cops...why dun we just start a fund and everyone ditch out 50 cents for the poor guy to replace the grill...he got jacked...totally

so this dacutiguy supposively did some business with one of the member...saying that for a cost he would do some job on his front grill...after the guy sent his grill and money...he disappeared...i think thats the summary of what happened

RobG, good call. So far we've got 4 or 5 threads with thousands of posts devoted to our own little soap opera. The "DucatiGuy in Iraq" pics were hilarious, I was laughing like hell, but lets get over it and move on.

Hey, Rob, I would almost agree with you. BUT, there are very few threads/topics that are informative, fun and have a moral/lesson, as well as demonstrate the generosity of unknown people. And that's why I suggested it---it's more to be humor than serious, altho Mav probably has learned a lesson.

So, let's hope the Long Island meet takes place and they do a "search" for the elusive DucatiGuy. I don't think there's anything wrong with that and who knows? Their report back to us could be very interesting especially if they get to meet THE DAD!
