Went to dealer in Orange county to find out about a 6 speed white, willow+Nav, sedan. None around in Western USA so he said he could order one May 6 but he dont know if it is 2004 or 2005. He said if I order June 5 it will most likely be 2005.
Anyone has heard any similar rifts.
I think I will wait till June

 

well at least you got something close to the truth. 2 out of the 3 infiniti dealers in texas (dallas and san antonio) told me they wouldn't take orders for 2005 g35 coupes until aug/sep for delivery in oct/nov!

i think they were just trying to get me to buy a 2004 to clear out their inventory.

 

you never know when they switch, however, i ordered my on 6/6/03, order day, and it turned out to be an 04

I've gotten the same crap from dealers here in the Carolinas.
The real truth is 'they want to sell the 04's they have in stock first'. Nevermind what the customer wants! I personally believe we order 05's in July, and recieve them in September/Early October.

 

If the timing is the same this year as last, then Switch is correct.

One of my buddies wants to get a coupe to complement his 20th. Anniversary GTI and I know the owner of the dealership here in Willowdale ON Canada and asked him about 05's and he told me and I quote "This is the last month we take 04 orders" and that is like 2 days ago!

He also said if my firend orders one now he will probably get it by Aug. or Sep. I also asked him about price change or any upgrades to the car and he said Infiniti would not disclose anything as they are afraid it could hurt the 04's sales.

I think if anyone is buying one now, regardless of any changes, it's well worth the wait but just make sure you get on the list as one of the first ones for the 05's to get it quickly. But if you're gonna lease, then just go ahead and get an 04 cause you won't get the same good deals on an 05.
