I have spoken to my import guy and he has given me some "good" information, at least in my eyes. It turns out that the G35 Sedan Eibach pro-kit Springs do indeed work for the Coupe. The only difference is, that the spring rates are different for the springs made for the Sedan. These springs are made for a car that is heavier than the Coupe which menas, that when used in the Coupe it will be a much tighter ride, meaning handling and cornering. If the revese setup was used, ie. the Sedan on Coupe springs it would be too much weight on the springs and it would be sloppy. I have the srings in my posession right now and I should have them installed my midweek next week. I will fill everyone in and let you guys know the results.

 

That's interesting, considering the coupe weighs more than the sedan.

Very true. Touche. I thought that was the case but I got retarded and let my impatience get to me. In that case, what difference really is there then between the 2 sets of springs. What could it be. Anyone who can help would be great.

 

Of course, it's only about 50lbs more, which shouldn't affect springs much.

I don't think the extra 50 would make much of a difference, BUT, what do you think is the reason they are two different sets of springs then. There has to be some reason.

 

I wouldn't do it. I would just wait for Eibach to come out with official coupe springs. I have had many people do it including myself, put springs/shocks from another vehicle onto mine. The ride will not BE THE SAME!

 

I am just confused as to what the difference is going to be between the different applications. Eibach has not even told me what the difference is. If it is indeed just the wiehgt. I highly doubt that 50 or 60 pounds will make much of a difference. I am confused.

 

even the 350z springs will work. I used to think they wouldn't but they do. I can test this theory if you want, just make a generouse offering to the Ovayahead Coil over foundation[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img].

well the 350z and coupes suspension are the same but tuned different. the sedans on the other hand is completly different.

Well I will try the Sedan springs on the Coupe and see what happens. I will make sure to let my import friend know though that if they do not work he is responsible since he gave me the OK. It is simple if they do not work I just wait amonth or so and get the Coupe springs. Easy as that.
