i dont see any lack of knowledge in that post... experience>something you read somewhere... im just saying, ive never heard a horror story from someone using premium fuel.... i use it cuz the cap says to and im at 17degrees timing..using 87 would be, for the lack of a better word, stupid

When I say high octane, I mean high test, premium pump, whatever you wanna call it. My fault if I mislead into race fuel being high octane

I have been referring to the constant slew of fools who keep saying they put 98+ octane in their car and think it actually improves performance. Of course putting 91 octane in a car rated for 87 wont make a difference.

haha.. thats my fault then for saying high octane... does sound like race gas... yea... geting up that high only really helps if you are boosted... allows higher boost without detonation.. i remember seeing an evo in a magazine get dynoed with premium pump and then with somewhere around 103... it gained nearly 100whp.. but i think they did raise the boost slightly too
