When I went to raise my hood a few days ago, it started to touch the right front fender, at the rear corner portion near the hinge area. This never occurred before, and has me baffled as I never hit anything with the car prior to this. What could cause this? I tried to pry apart that area with my hands, and now less contact is being made, but it still seems very close.
Is this a common issue? I have read about hinges bending, but I dont think mine are bent?

It's just like swapping a trunk lid. It's just misaligned. I don't know about the G's, but you should be able to just loosen or tighten to your discretion. Make sure not to slam it after "realigning" it, because you might have over corrected somewhere because it will slam and rub. You don't want to be messing around with paint after this pain in the ***, either. Good luck.

Now that you have noticed this, I would not recommend the two person hood opening procedure unless it is an emergency. There is so much strain on the hood from the siezed hinges that I'm sure you are putting strain on the hood bolt where it attaches to the hinge. If you crack that, you are screwed. Just leave it alone, get new hinges, get them put on and call it a day. Once these hinges start siezing, they are unbelievably tough to move. Like I said in my post, I couldn't operate the hinge for the life of me so I can only imagine how much torque is on the hinge bolts of the hood when you open the hood with a siezed hinge.

It looks like my passanger side is failing as it already chipped the corner
I still have warranty left but, I have already been in quite a few times recently since I have gotten the car and am getting tired of making this a habit for these things such as this. However with winter coming up I would like to get this resolved so the corner doesn't begin rusting.
Will they replace both hinges even if only one is really causing problems at the moment (however I am sure the other site is bad as well).
Thanks!
