Mileage question...
Mileage question...
I'm looking to buy a used 04 or 05 G35 coupe.........most of the cars I'm finding have anywhere between 30k to 60k miles. What would you guys consider the cut off point in miles that I should consider when buying one of these cars. In other words, shoudl I stay away from cars over 50k miles due to the fact that I may need to start spending money only a few thousand miles after I purchase the car. At what mileage do these cars typically start to need costly maintenance? Thanks!
I bought mine at 37k. These are nissan engines so as long as they have been maintained and not abused they should last a long time. It is really based on condition and how many miles you are comfortable with as well as your price range.

If you could utilize context clues from my post, which you obviously can't, I stated "costly" repairs......major engine work. I wouldn't consider brakes, tires, etc. a costly category of repairs, If you're going to be nothing but a sarcastic, smart ***, then don't bother replying to my threads.

It really depends on how much you plan or want to spend. If money is going to be a big limiting factor, then your decision will be driven by that.
If money is not that big of a factor, get the lowest milleage car that you can find which has good service records and is in good condition(just stating the obvious).
The only real milleage number that stands out is 70K... because that is the cutoff for the factory powertrain warranty(6-year/70K).... other than that, just get lowest miles and best maintained car combination that you can find in your price range.
