My pops found a good deal on an '03 at a local dealership and we're going to go look at it tomorrow. Its an Auto with 83k miles. The mileage concerns me as I'm mostly a Honda guy and I really have no idea on the longevity of the VQ engines.

Are there some typical things I should look out for this this particular MY? Anything I need to look out for since the mileage is high?

The car has been in a frontal collision (already repaired, bumper was only thing painted) and carfax says its minor but we'll determine that when we get there. He wants to trade his commuter, a '04 civic, in for the G, which is listed at $12.9k. I'm not sure about the price but it seems a bit high for the mileage.

the price IMO is fine, it actually seems pretty low... well nissans/infinitis have pretty long lasting engines so you should be fine
i think yahoo just listed the G35/G37 top five for having the greatest resale value..
