Hello

The lease for my 04 G35 coupe ends in December and I have to decide what to do. The purchase price is 17K which is a pretty good deal considering I only have 29K miles on it.

Part of my concern is related to the company that holds the lease. It is not leased thru Infiniti, but thru US Bank...even though it was purchased at Infinit of Charlotte in NC. I was wondering if anyone here has leased an Infiniti from US Bank and had problems on the return transaction. I did a quick web search on US Bank and leases and found nothing but people complaining about how difficult and picky they were when they turned in the lease. The dealer just told me I need new breaks pretty soon and the 30K service is coming up... I wonder if US Bank will try to charge me money for those items so they can sell it...

If it turns out that people say that US bank is terrible... I will buy the thing out right just so this company does not get the chance to take advantage of me.

If I do end up purchasing it... Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy the car and there is no other car of this quality with 29K at a price of 17K.
What are some of the more popular performance and gas milage mods I can have done to the car make it bit more entertaining?

I wouldn't purchase it. Just spend a couple k's more and get an '06 or something. There aren't really any gas mileage mods. Lots of go fast mods, just search.

 

Good point. I just saw that the local carmax has an 06 very similar to mine with about 2K less miles... It might be worth a look. Didn't I seen an oil leak issue related to the 06 models posted on the forum?

Just out of curiosity...has anyone had to deal w/ US Bank on a lease?
