Exhaust, upgrades, etc.

My question for those of you that have done major upgrades to your G35 is that once you put the plenum space, the exhaust system and CAI - do you need the programmer to re-tune the engine? Is that something that can be done at the shop or did you have to provide the equipment to do it. Here in Louisiana I'm having a tough time finding a shop that is willing to do the work. If I had a Mustang, they would work on it all day long Thanks for your input.

Major upgrades....plus?

Hmm, good question. I've had those three mods for over 3 years and haven't
felt the need for any further tune. My G runs great and I don't use any oil
between changes, plus I've never taken my car to the stealership for service.
Any further tune may not be needed, my two cents!
Gary

Thanks Gary, I can't remember where but I saw a programmer for around $500 and was wondering if its going to be a necessary part of my upgrade budget!

That's Osiris. I don't have it, but from what I understand, you download the info from your ECU or something, or have a shop do it. Then, they send the data to Osiris, and a week or two later, you get the new data back, and they upload it onto your ECU. It's supposed to smooth out your power band and adjust the mods you already have for some more power.
