body work questions - please help

So I put my car up on a lift today to put on my crawford Hi-flow cats, and I noticed that underneath the car, the flat body panels that run along both sides of the car (about 6-8 inches wide) are dented from bottoming out on these stupid security gates at West Point. So after putting the cats on (Which kick *** by the way), I notice that the floor on both the driver and passenger sides is bulging up about 2 inches right above the spot where the dents were. Should I try to hammer it back out on my own, or take it to a body shop and pay them to fix it? I can't stand the lumpy floor in the car. Sorry for the long post, thanks for the help.

They would probably use a rubber mallet and charge you too much. I would try it myself and then worst case senario I screw it up, then take it to a body shop.
Bigger problem sounds like the bumps at the gate. It might be a reaccuring problem.
