If your asking for a magic bullet, there is none. Keep your tires inflated properly, make sure your air filter is clean, once yearly use either Techron or preferably BG44k and most importantly drive with a very light foot and never above 65. There was an renouned expert on TV a short time ago that gave driving tips to save gas and by implementing these steps could save you a few mpg's. One example was when coming to a stop light or traffic slow down well in advance and try not to come to a complete stop if possible. Always back into your parking space and sit idle as little as possible. All the magic bullet gizmos do not work. Some will give a very, very slight increase, but nothing noticeable in day to day driving.

What difference can backing into your parking space make to your fuel consumption?

In my opinion, yes. Because if you wanted to save gas and be fuel efficient you wouldn't have bought a G35. You can worry about using the least amount of fuel possible with a G35, but the simple fact is: it does NOT get good gas mileage. There is only one way to save gas: drive like a grandma and never go above 55 mph and keep it below 2k rpm all the time.

Other than that, you bought the wrong car if you are worried about gas.

I guess what i'm trying to say is from a national perspective it would be an advantage for everyone to attempt to conserve fuel of all types and lessen our dependencey on imported oil. with that said, yea- its not a very fuel effient car and changing driving style/habits are about the best you can do.

I get a little bit better gas mileage after I changed my:
fuel filter
spark plugs and wires
got a K&N air filter
and just check the pressure in your tires

the best solution for you is to sell the car and buy a corolla. The toyota corolla is a comfortable ride with great gas mileage and is very dependable.

Too ugly for you? Then keep the G, listen to your friends and spend more money on the car, ie get intakes, better flowing cats, exhaust, etc and live on ramen noodles, dump as much money as you can in your sports car to get a better gas mileage.

Seriously, this car isn't about gas mileage. You will save a few mpgs here and there, and then you will floor it and lose those mpgs.

You think the G gets bad MPG? I have a 98 Ford Ranger w/ a 3.0L V6 auto. On a good day, it averages 15mpg. Thats w/ the AC off and keeping my foot out of it
