rad fans not working

i did a search but did not come up with any solutions.

i took my g35 out today and while waiting in a "drive up" fast food rest., my G started to over heat and spew rad fluid.

i got it home safely and looked for a bad fuse which controls the fans. the 40A fuse ohms out "good".

what else could be the source of why the fans are not working? i sure would appreciate the help.

thanks in advance!

I thought the relays for the fans were also in the fuse box next to the battery. I don't have the manual, so I can't confirm. When you turn on your a/c, does the other fan come on like it's supposed to?

hey badtziscool, thanks 4 responding. the fan to the "right" (standing in frnt of car) comes "on" when the a/c is turned on. however, it came on with some authority then reduced it's speed somewhat. not sure if the reason behind this is becuase the engine is cold(?) and the ambient temp is 67*.

just came in from switching the wiring connections from the 2 fans. the fan to the left does not come on. i suspect a bad fan motor(?). i guess i'll have to take it to my infiniti dealer to have it serviced. something i dread doing.
still can't find the fan relay's. anyone know what the cost of replacement is with the fan set-up? thinking i can get away from visiting my dealer, which is 40 miles away and i always get my car back with a "new" scratch

i cant beleive that a thread about a "paint chip" would get more responses than something like a "real issue", lol

thanks ttrank. great info!
i've already ordered a new set of fans. will have them next week. even though the car is under warranty, i'd rather not take it in for this. my local infinti dealer lacks professionalism. if it was a engine or drivetrain issue than yes.

have a great day

update: received fan assembly this morning. removed old fan assembly and installed new within 1 hr. both fans now run with a/c on and they both operate without the a/c on. cycle on and off as expected.
no dealer hassles or new scratches

cost $127.16

fan relay is behind the battery? do I have to remove the battery in order to see them? my radiator fans keep turns on until I turn off the engine. Normally, it should be turns on when the engine is hot and stop....in my case, these fans keep running....should it be relay? I saw in the manual about these relays but couldn't to find them....please help, I really appreciate it.

The fans will run based on the coolant temp, refrigerant pressure, and vehicle speed.
The fans are two speed (high/low). In most conditions if the A/C is on the fans will be running. There is a chart in the service manual with complete details.
