Wtf?!?!?!??!?!?

Ok, so i bought my 2007 G35 Coupe (fully loaded with RAS, etc.) 3 weeks ago. I loved the car before i bough it and I love it even more after 3 weeks. (the looks I get from ladies uffff...) Dispite all the different noises this car makes (and from reading the threads I can conclude that these are normal). Ok, so the car has 16,000miles on it, warranty, and it is stock.

Anyway, today I got into the car, started it up. And took off. As i was in the first gear and about to go into the second, when I put my foot on the clutch (it wasn't there!!!) it was all the way down and stuck, so i kicked 2 times and it came back up. But, then burning smell came for a bit (i assume the clutch got stuck and it burned a bit). After that all the way home i had to change gears a lot, it didn't happen again. But i can not get smooth 1st gear, once i slowly release the clutch and the car starts rolling then i get this feeling as if something skips in the back wheels and it is not even close to be smooth change. I tried to adjust shifting but i can't find a spot where it changes smoothly. It really feels bad when u about to take of in 1st gear, then the rest once u switch to higher gear it feels less rough. (the higher the gear the smoothest it gets). (FROM THE BEGINNING since i owned it changing gears was ok, but after today I worry and it is really unpleasant)

*** i hope it makes sense what i wrote above, i am so stressed out i am not even gonna read proof it*** AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK TIME READING IT AND FOR THE REPLIES (IF I GET ANY)

Is it a clutch?? Transmission?? Or something else? Do u think i will have problem getting dealer to fix it? I know when it comes to clutches dealers blame the drivers.

i would go check your clutch fluid resvoir. see if theres fluid if not go searchin for a leak. sounds like it leaked out. and im in stupid mode right now and cant rememebr the name. but the **** that pushes the trow out bearing either way no u shouldnt have a prob wit the dealer. the system probably has air in it caused by this part that i cant remember for the life of me right now im sry gl tough lol the roughness might b from the clutch not engaging smooth due to the burning.

There are many threads on this subject... Use the Search to find similar occurances. From what I recall, your problem occurs after dropping the clutch in 1st gear. the burning you smelled is the clutch that slipped. Worse case, you may need a new one shortly.

get the clutch slave cylinder replaced under warranty. if they try to tell you something else just tell them to shove it. I had that problem, i know several guys who had that problem, its because of the faulty clutch slave cylinder.
